Nice to meet you,
I'm Debbie
and I LOVE yoga and teaching yoga,
I truly believe yoga can be transformational not only physically but also mentally and emotionally. Yoga has given me the strength to rebuild again and again and overcome heart-breaking life challenges, chronic fatigue and other health challenges,
My wish is for NeBella Yoga and Wellness to help you experience the magical benefits of yoga for yourself. To help improve your strength, stability and movement while building resilience within the body and mind. It doesn't matter how you look on the mat or how flexible you are; whether you can touch your feet with your hands, you are the only thing that matters and you are enough

Hi, I'm Debbie

a bit more about
My teaching journey
was one born from the most heart-breaking life changing loss of my son at just 17.
Thankfully, I had an established yoga practice in my life and had been practising for over 12 years at the time of my son's tragic death. As it literally saved me in my darkest days of shock, despair and grief.
Don't get me wrong, yoga certainly didn't take my grief away, but it did give me focus, discipline, patience; it helped me quieten my screaming, chatting mind, which offered me some much needed rest-bite from the exhaustion. I soon realised it was impossible to stand on one leg and think about anything other than not falling over in full class.
My A-ha moment came when I completed a foundation course with BWY to deepen my personal practice. I felt so inspired to help people experience and share the benefits of yoga. It's my hope that my story will give people encouragement that whatever horrific challenges life throws at you, you can get through!
I went on to complete my Anusara Teacher training and haven't stopped studying since. I've been incredibly fortunate to have some wonderful teachers over the years who've really sparked and ignited my love and passion for yoga.
So mix that in with my love of helping people; I seem to have found the perfect blend. NeBella and my teaching path has been born out of an enormous personnel loss, crippling social anxiety and crushing self-esteem. More in my blog, what's in a name. My yoga journey has literally saved me; I have experienced the yoga magic first hand, and I hope I get the opportunity to practice with you on the mat.

What yoga did for my life?
It's helped me navigate through life with complex PTSD, crippling anxiety and managaing panic attacks. It's allowed me to listen to my heart, trust my intuition, and accept what is. Be in control of my own well-being with a holistic approach. I've learnt to adapted my practice to offer compassion and kindness depending on what my body feels emotionally and physically.
When I'm not teaching…
Busy planning classes, workshops and being a yoga student. I'm a frustrated creative craft lover; I'm like a magpie; I can be found in my studio, busy making anything from jewellery to pottery or practising brushing lettering, watercolours and screen printing.
But that said, when time is short my favourite thing is to cook up a storm in the kitchen, explore the countryside with our adorable doggie Luna or snuggling up binge-watching the latest Netflix series with my three fav's (long-suffering partner, gorgeous daughter and doggie Luna) = Self-love and Pure Bliss
